RADD (Raising Awareness for the Developmentally Disabled) will host a powerful community celebration on Saturday, June 6, 2026, combining the annual RADD Ride with the season finale of RADD Special Needs Baseball at Grainger Stadium in Kinston.
Hosted in partnership with Towers’ Boneyard Harley-Davidson, this unique dual event will unite individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities, their families, motorcycle riders, community organizations, first responders, and local supporters for a full day focused on inclusion, awareness, and community connection.
The day will begin with rider registration from 9:30 a.m. to 10:30 a.m., followed by the official start of the motorcycle ride at 10:30 a.m. Riders will travel through the NC State Veterans Home and parade through Caswell Developmental Center before arriving at Grainger Stadium around 11:30 a.m. to noon for the Special Needs Baseball season finale.
The baseball game will begin at 10:30 a.m. at Grainger Stadium and will continue into an afternoon of celebration featuring awards, snow cones, socializing, and family-friendly activities.
Additional highlights include:
“This event is about more than motorcycles or baseball,” said April Houston, Executive Director of RADD. “It is about bringing people together, building awareness, celebrating abilities, and showing our special needs community that they are valued, supported, and loved.”
RADD invites community members, supporters, and media outlets to attend and help share the message of inclusion and acceptance throughout Eastern North Carolina.
