While an overweight New York woman was walking in the Upper East Side, she caved through a sidewalk and dropped seven feet into a huge hole.
Rescue crews arrived on the scene and pulled the 400-pound woman out of the hole using a crane.
She was standing under an awning protecting herself from rain while she waited for the bus when the sidewalk collapsed. She ended up in the basement of a restaurant.
An eye witness said the woman didn't even scream during the surprise fall and she broke her arm in two places.
She says being 400 pounds saved her life.
She firmly believes that a thinner woman may have died from the fall.
