The Smashing Pumpkins' 1995 double album Mellon Collie and the Infinite Sadness will more than double in size with a new reissue due out December 3rd.
The deluxe physical package includes the original album, 64 previously unreleased or alternate versions of Mellon Collie-era songs spread over three CDs, a DVD featuring performances from 1996 at London’s Brixton Academy and on the TV show Rockpalast, and two books that contain personal notes, lyrics and new artwork.
The deluxe album will also be available digitally and be released on vinyl for the first time.

Slash has started working on musicfor the film Nothing to Fear, which is the first horror film from his new production company, Slasher Films. The movie, directed by Anthony Leonardi the Third, is expected out in the second half of 2013.

In case you didn't know, the Internet blows everything out of proportion. Dave Grohl commented on Saturday night in New York that it was the last Foo Fighters show for a while. Grohl's comments lead to speculation that the band might be splitting up, which anyone who watched Grohl speak would know wasn't the case. Of course, the band's spokesperson had to issue a brief statementtoday that said, "They are definitely not breaking up."
Now that that's settled, we can look forward to Grohl's project during the band's time off -- finishing his Sound City documentary.

Killswitch Engagewill be revisiting their past on their fall tour. The band will celebrate the 10th anniversary of their second album, Alive or Just Breathing, by playing it in its entirety. Singer Jesse Leach, who rejoined the band this year, originally left before they toured behind that album. Shadows Fall will be the opening act. The jaunt starts November 24th in San Bernardino, California and wraps up in Portland, Maine in December 20th.
