10.05 Bowling For Bottle Schools

A nationwide multi-city bowling event will take place on Sunday, October 5th to support World Ventures Foundation & Hug It Forward in their efforts to build Bottle Schools for Children!!  There is a location in ENC atBowlarena on Western Boulevard in Jacksonville  The cost is $25 a person, which includes shoes and three games of bowling.  There will be a 50/50 raffle and prize raffles throughout the night.  For more info about the event, click here.

UNCW Communication Studies Societies' 8th Annual Rock for a Cure will take place on Friday, October 17th at 6pm on the rooftop of the Reel Cafe.  This benefit concert will feature live music from Perry James Deluke and The Schoolboys.  The event also will have a silent auction and a raffle.  Admission is only $5 and all proceeds benefit the New Hanover County Regional Medical Center's Pink Ribbon Project.  This organization provides free mammography screenings and diagnostics for women battling breast cancer.
